Our Level 5 Diploma is on the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework and can be verified independently. When something isn't regulated, we say so on the course page.

What our courses are — and aren't.

Regulated is a real word

Only Ofqual-recognised Awarding Organisations can regulate qualifications in the UK. Our Level 5 Diploma is one of them — awarded by Gatehouse Awards. If a provider says "accredited" but not "regulated", the two are not the same.

How we compare to CELTA

Both sit at Level 5. CELTA includes six hours of assessed teaching practice with real students; our Diploma is studied online and assessed on written coursework. We don't paper over that difference — our 25-Hour Online Teaching Practicum is designed to close it with observed, graded lessons. Read the full comparison →

TEFL Fullcircle is a UK-based online TEFL training provider founded in 2015 and headquartered at 23 Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, North Yorkshire. We offer online TEFL courses from 25 to 200 guided learning hours — including a UK Government regulated 200-Hour Level 5 Diploma awarded by Gatehouse Awards — alongside a job board, salary calculator, downloadable lesson plans and an AI study coach. More than 70,000 learners have trained with us.

Our courses are accredited by Gatehouse Awards, which is both an Ofqual-recognised Awarding Organisation and an international accreditation body. The 200-Hour Level 5 Diploma is additionally a UK Government regulated qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework, which employers and visa authorities can verify independently. The 120, 160, 200 and 40-hour courses are internationally accredited but are not regulated qualifications — a distinction we state on every course page.

Since 2015 — over ten years. The company was founded by James Gillmon and became an Ofqual-regulated training provider in 2024.

Six TEFL courses: the 200-Hour Level 5 Diploma (UK Government regulated), a 200-Hour Professional course, a 160-Hour Standard course, a 120-Hour Foundation course, a 40-Hour Teaching English Online specialist course and a 25-Hour Online Teaching Practicum. We also offer downloadable lesson plan packs and a catalogue of non-TEFL professional development courses under Fullcircle Courses.

Anyone aged 18 or over, with no upper age limit and no prior teaching experience needed. Our learners include gap-year students, career changers and retired people. If English isn't your first language, we ask for Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) or your country's equivalent — email us at support@teflfullcircle.com before you buy and we'll check with you.
